No, since 2011 Westjet has not been flying out of Saint John, New Brunswick.
The seasonal service to Toronto was canceled and since then just Air Canada and Jazz have run flights during the summer and Sunwing during the winter.
While this was disappointing news for people living in Saint John (just like Porter Airlines flying to Miramichi), positive changes were made in April 2022.
Swoop Flying into Saint John
Since April 2022, Swoop has started to fly into Saint John multiple times per week.
This is the low-cost airline of Westjet and they’re now offering multiple flights in and out of Saint John that are accommodating up to 80 passengers.
Both Swoop and the Saint John airport have an aggressive expansion plan and are planning to grow the airport and Airline connectivity to provide better service to Saint John residents.
This is also going to help boost tourism with people from the rest of Canada able to hop on a low-cost flight into Saint John.
